Coronation Street Tina O’Brien Shares Thoughts About Sarah & Adam’s Upcoming Storyline

Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien, who portrays the role of Sarah Platt in the longest-running drama, has expressed her thoughts about the upcoming storyline of her character and her on-screen husband, Adam Barlow.

During her exclusive interview with Inside Soap, O’Brien revealed that families of both sides will spend time together this approaching Yuletide season, “I think it’s because [Sarah] knows that she wants to start a family with Adam and for selfish reasons, they want to spend Christmas together.”

“Sarah goes for the hard sell saying ‘I could be having a baby that is going to be a Platt-Barlow, and we’re all going to have to get on!’” she added.

She revealed that their on-screen son, Harry, will be played by twins named Freddie and Isaac. Although she’s excited to work with the little ones on set, O’Brien wants to suggest to the writers to never rush things on Sarah and Adam (Sam Robertson).

Teasing the viewers about the couple’s future, the 38-year-old actress said that she’s having a great time working with Sam Robertson and their characters will have happy days ahead of them, “It’s interesting, though, as every time [Sarah and Adam] are happy, somebody throws a spanner in the works, which is a shame as I think they do have the recipe to be a really great couple.”

“Coronation Street” spoilers have teased that Lydia remains tight-lipped about her relationship with Adam Barlow, especially since she has started a friendship bond with her ex’s wife, Sarah Barlow.

In the upcoming episode, Sarah thanks Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) for not spoiling their friendship amidst her past relationship with Adam. Meanwhile, as tensions are still between the Platt family, Sarah and Adam decide to spend the rest of the Christmas time in the hotel. When asked about Lydia and Adam’s past, Tina O’Brien stated, “She obviously knew he was a bit of a player before she met him, but I don’t think she knew the full extent… she’s a bit put out and a bit jealous about it.”
