Coronation Street: Alan Halsall Opens Up About Tyrone’s Wedding Mistake

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Alan Halsall talks about his character’s big wedding mistake. The actor opens up about his risky plan and the result of not thinking through his plan very well.

For the first time, Halsall has opened up about his character’s Christmas storyline. Tyrone Dobbs will be the focus of this year’s festive storyline as he finally gets married to Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine). His alter ego plans to surprise his partner with a Christmas Day wedding. He’s keeping it a secret from Fiz because he doesn’t want her to be stressed over the preparations.

Tyrone pretends that he didn’t prepare anything special for the holidays. Fiz ends up feeling frustrated, so she decides to leave on Christmas Day. She leaves her phone behind so she will have trouble asking for help when her car suddenly breaks down. As for Tyrone, he won’t be able to contact Fiz, so he’ll begin to panic that they miss their wedding slot.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Tyrone’s Risky Plan

In an interview with Digital Spy, Halsall explained that his alter ego “doesn’t think a great deal anyway.”

He said that his character got back all that he wanted after everything that he’s been through. He finally knows what he wants, and that’s to have a family. He loves Fiz, and he wants to marry her right away.

“Of course in his mind nothing can go wrong so therefore he just plans it all off the cuff, not telling Fiz,” he said.

“Tyrone doesn’t think of any eventuality that it won’t go perfectly to his plan. It’s all in good spirit – he just wants the best and wants Fiz to have that great day that he thinks she deserves. But of course, he hasn’t thought it through very well,” he added.

Tyrone fails to think things through. He didn’t realize that his plans may not go as smoothly as he first thought. So, he doesn’t know what to do next when he finds out that Fiz has left and can’t be contacted.

“I’ve got people giving up their Christmas Day to spend it with us. What’s going to happen? Are we going to get married in time?’ These are the questions that Tyrone is asking at the back of his mind.
