‘Coronation Street’ Producer Teases A ‘Moving And Lovely’ Christmas In Weatherfield

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Ian McLeod opened up about the Christmas spirit that will soon cover the cobbles.

Last 2019, the production team of the longest-running soap has given the audience some dark feelings on Christmas Day. After all the circumstances that happened in Weatherfield, Ian McLeod will present a “fun, warm, and family-oriented” holiday season.

“It’s got loads of comedy, family fun, and warmth. I cried twice in the viewing – and I’m not given to tears! It’s really moving and lovely. It’s not sad, but in a ‘warm your cockles’ way,” McLeod told Digital Spy. Fans will expect some feel-good episodes as McLeod mentioned that each family will feel “totally Christmassy” this year as well as Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) who plans to pop the question to his lover, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).

Coronation Street Spoilers – Tyrone Marries Fiz Stape on Christmas Day

The beloved couple has been tested with trials ever since Fiz’s (Jennie McAlpine) late husband John’s book was published. Moreover, Fiz’s daughter, Hope (Isabella Flanagan), acted strangely due to her father’s story and even got suspended from school because of misconduct.

Following all the challenges of their family, everything goes well, especially since Hope is back to school again. Fiz and Tyrone then see the school counselor for a meeting. When they talk about their family background, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) realizes that it’s the best time for him to settle down with Fiz.

In the café, the man asks for his lover’s hand and Fiz happily accepts the proposal. Amidst the excitement, the soon-to-be bride gets stressed with all the preparation. Little did she know, Tyrone asks help from his friends to prepare for the big day and marry the woman of his dreams on Christmas Day.

The soap’s producer, Ian McLeod, hinted that the Christmas episode will center on Fiz and Tyrone’s love story. “I really think fans are going to love it. The Fiz and Tyrone strand in the centerpiece and really good fun,” he stated.

Previously on “Coronation Street,” the school administration called out Fiz when her daughter made trouble with other students. It all started when Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) told Hope that most of the students in their school were just pretending to be her friend. “If they’re not my real friends, I’ll kill them,” the young lady uttered after she went through Tyrone’s toolbox and took his hammer.

In school, Hope asked for £5 for each student to pay for their seats, and because of what she did, some students said some mean words against her. The gal overheard the statement and madly grabbed the hammer in her bag. She then re-enacted her father John’s murder of Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley) using the tool. As a result, Hope got suspended from school for a week.
