Coronation Street Spoilers: Is Damon Hay Getting A Surprising Love Story?

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) will have a surprise romance storyline later this year. The soap has some big plans for the character and he’ll be sticking around in Weatherfield.

“As the year goes on, Damon has a magnetic attraction for a notable high-profile female character, who ends up having her head turned. That has far-reaching consequences,” Corrie’s producer Iain MacLeod said.

“We’re currently working on June storylines. There’s a build-up and a colossal explosion in that story, involving Damon and this love story that will be on air then,” he added.

Damon’s return to the cobbles seemed like a heartfelt mission of reconciliation, yet as days went by, it was revealed that he only sought to exploit his son. His true intentions will be revealed as he tries to manipulate Jacob into accepting a shipment of drugs at the Bistro.

MacLeod described Damon as a dangerous man. At first, he seems to be less sophisticated than his brother. But in upcoming scenes, it will be revealed that he’s more polished and can be as brutal as his sibling.

“Damon upends a lot of people’s lives and brings criminality into a family that could probably do from moving on from their past. They end up right back in the mess again thanks to him,” MacLeod added.

Hobbs?

Macleod hopes that the show could bring Will Mellor back to play Harvey. He explained that it’s tricky when the characters are in jail but he also admitted that the soap has managed to overcome such difficulties and more in the past.

He would love to see Harvey and Damon in the same room. He added that the idea of Harvey going head-to-head with Damon is “tantalising.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – What’s Next For Fiz Stape And Tyrone Dobbs?

Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) are now married but the question is if they’re finally free of John Stape (Graeme Hawley). MacLeod explained that Hope (Isabella Flanagan) still carries John’s last name, and she’ll start to dwell on her dad. She doesn’t know much about her father and will begin to be curious about him. She’ll become a bit obsessed, which will cause problems for Tyrone and Fiz.
