Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) latest murder plan didn’t go according to his plan. Will he finally get the comeuppance he deserves?

After a deadly car crash, Stephen’s scheming went into full gear as he tried to finish off the injured Teddy in Friday’s action-packed episode. Stephen came up with a story that Teddy was drunk and stumbled into oncoming traffic.

However, he later on learned from the doctors that Teddy has a good chance of making a full recovery.

Jenny was watching Teddy at the hospital but she had to step away for a while to get some fresh air. While she was away, Stephen went into Teddy’s room and apologized for killing Leo. However, he wasn’t there to just say sorry. He had other motives and that was to take Teddy off his life support.

Before he could end his life for good, Jenny returned to the room, stopping Stephen from carrying out his sinister plan. The only person who could prove that Leo never went to Canada is still alive, at least for now.

Jenny had no clue what Stephen’s plans were but he immediately made plans to leave Weatherfield. Later on, the delivery service where he worked called him and admitted that the moped Stephen crashed wasn’t insured. The latter immediately asked for £10,000 to buy off his silence.

“I promise you’ll never hear from me again, and neither will anyone else because as soon as I get your money, I’m leaving the UK for good,” Stephen said. Will he leave Weatherfield without paying for his crimes?

Coronation Street Spoilers – Hints Shocking Story For Stephen Reid And Carla

Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod teased that Stephen and Carla Connor (Alison King) will have a showdown. Stephen wants to get back to the textile business but Carla wants to teach him that she’s in charge.

“He sees his first step back on the ladder to the top of the international rag trade as getting a gig in Underworld and toppling the current queen of the pile, Carla,” he said.

“Psychological warfare begins between those two, complete with knowledge on the viewers’ part that Stephen has killed someone. So when Carla belittles Stephen and makes him make the tea, undercutting him in front of clients, she is unwittingly poking this hornet’s nest,” he added.
