Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that tensions will continue to rise between Saira Habeeb (Kim Vithana) and Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor). The latter may find herself getting into more trouble with Imram Habeeb’s (Charlie de Melo) mother after she yields to temptation and kisses Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock).

Fans know that Toyah has been accused of killing her husband, Imran, in a recent car accident. While awaiting trial, Saira will visit the cobbles again, and she’ll have no qualms accusing Toyah of murdering her son. She says Toyah wanted to be free of Imran so she could be with Spider, her new boyfriend.

Griff (Michael Condron), Spider’s friend, steps in to defend Toyah from Saira’s scathing accusations. He wants to teach Saira a lesson by letting the tires of her car go down. But later on, he wants to torch Saira’s car.

Spider also warns Toyah not to meddle with Griff’s plan because she shouldn’t get in trouble with the police as she waits for her trial. When Spider learns about Griff’s plans, he tells Toyah to cut ties with him. Not only that, he professes his love for her and tells Toyah that his marriage is over.

Toyah and Spider share a steamy kiss, and they both agree to keep their relationship a secret until after the trial. Unfortunately, the couple wasn’t aware that Saira was watching them from the street below. Now, she has finally confirmed her suspicions. How will this affect Toyah’s trial? What will happen if word gets out that she’s with Spider?

Georgia Taylor, the actress who plays the role of Toyah, promised that Imran’s death would soon be explained. Fans may recall that Toyah and Imran were involved in a car crash on their way home. The fatal incident caused Imran’s death. It was later on revealed that the couple was arguing, but the cause of the crash was never revealed.

Now, Toyah is standing trial for Imran’s murder. The question now lingers, did Toyah intentionally crash the car?

“Because we left out those crucial few seconds at the time, that’s still to be explored, and you’ll learn more during the trial week,” Taylor shared.

“Toyah might be too emotionally fragile to take the stand and could end up incriminating herself, and there might be some surprises as to who testifies against her,” she explained.

Taylor added that she’s hoping to see her alter ego reconnect with Toyah. She also wants Glenda (Jodie Prenger) to be closer to her character.
