Coronation Street Spoilers: Toyah Battersby Wins Her Case

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Toyah Battersby was finally free from her legal issues against her late husband, Imran.

In the past episodes of the longest-running soap, Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) bribed Ben to tell the court that Abi (Sally Carman) used some illegal drugs to win Alfie’s custody. When Abi told Kelly (Millie Gibson) about the solicitor’s lies, the youngster confronted the man and convinced him to come clean to the court. Realizing all his mistakes, Imran finally decided to tell his wife, Toyah (Georgia Taylor), the whole truth.

Following the confession, the furious Toyah couldn’t control her emotions and crashed the vehicle they were in, which led Imran to eternally leave the cobbles. After the incident, an investigation took place when the police thought about somebody had tampered with the brakes. However, when the CCTV was reviewed, it was seen that Toyah didn’t step on the brakes as she drove towards the building, looking like she did the accident on purpose.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Toyah Battersby Refuses To Celebrate Her Victory

Last September 14’s episode, Toyah admitted the truth to Spider (Martin Hancock), saying that she intentionally killed her husband after his revelation. Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) overheard their conversation and confronted her sister. She convinced Toyah about the possibility of being sad and can’t let go of the fact that Imran was no longer with her.

However, Toyah revealed that she closed her eyes when she saw the building, leading them to encounter the accident. In the recent episode, the jury decided that the Underworld sales clerk was not guilty of the legal charges filed against her.

After the court’s decision, Toyah wanted to be alone and doesn’t feel like celebrating as she knew the truth behind Imran’s death. On the other hand, Spider was overjoyed with the result and vowed to be on Toyah’s side even if it takes him to compromise his job.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Georgia Taylor Talks About Her Character Toyah Battersby

Following her character’s chaotic experiences in the cobbles, Georgia Taylor shared her hopes regarding Toyah’s storyline in the future, and that includes fostering a child. “I think it’s definitely an option for her. I love that side of her,” she told Digital Spy.

“The argument against that, I guess, is that I’ve always said we have a responsibility in reflecting all aspects of society, to show a childless woman and to show that a childless woman can be happy. That’s something I feel quite strongly about myself,” Taylor continued.
