Stu claims he’s been wrongly imprisoned for 27 years for a crime he didn’t commit.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Stu Carpenter Claims He’s Innocent

Stu confirmed that he confessed to killing a woman and went to jail for it. However, he now claims that he never committed the crime and someone else was responsible for murdering that woman. He added that the detective who handled his case framed him for the murder.

In upcoming scenes, Zeedan wants to find out the truth and wants to look for information that would prove Stu’s innocence. He finds out that the copper who Stu referred to took early retirement for suspicious reasons. He turns to Craig Tinker for help.

Elsewhere, Yasmeen and Zeedan learn that Stu is back in prison for his actions at the Nazir house. The latter believes that Stu is innocent and visits him in prison. The letter asks for Zeedan’s help to secure his case files, which could help prove his innocence.

Zeedan immediately asks Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) to retrieve Stu’s files. Yasmeen gets furious when he learns that he’s helping Stu. He also needs to secure £1,200 to access the files. Zeedan turns to Alya and asks her to pay half of the. She’s reluctant at first but she’ll end up helping him eventually. Will the case files prove Stu’s innocence?

Coronation Street Spoilers – Bill Fellow’s Take On Stu Carpenter’s Storyline

Bill Fellow, who plays the role of Stu, thought that “it was a great storyline” and he “liked the twist.” He was also surprised when producer Iain MacLeod told him that Stu was imprisoned for 27 years. The news that he also had an affair was a shock to him, too.

“But that’s why I call Stu a flawed character and I love this storyline because I love that Stu is flawed, I like that he has made mistakes,” Fellows said.
