Coronation Street’s Henry Newton Gives The Rovers Return A Chance

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Henry Newton made Jenny Connor happy as he considered helping to save the pub.

In the previous episodes of the longest-running soap, Jenny had a lot on her plate when the iconic social place experienced a financial crisis.

She tried different strategies to maintain the business, including price hikes and dart nights, but still didn’t work out.

One day, the businesswoman decided to sell the pub to one of the richest families – the Newtons. They are the owners of the Newton and Ridley brewery company and Jenny desired them to take over the pub.

To encourage the father and son in purchasing the place, Jenny organized an event showcasing the beautiful voice of Glenda.

However, the strategy didn’t turn out well when the singer had to back out due to a croaky voice. As a result, the pub owner ended up apologizing to Philip and Henry who later refused to buy the Rovers as it was unlikely to deliver a return on investment.

While Jenny delivered the bad news to the staff, Steve and George talked about the crowdfunding page they have set up.

Meanwhile, George approached Gemma Winter and suggested convincing Henry to help save the pub given their romantic history together.

In the recent scenes of “Coronation Street,” Gemma considered the idea and tried to encourage Henry to change his mind.

The businessman then showed enthusiasm but only if Gemma would work as his PA. Determined to maintain the Rovers, the woman agreed to Henry’s offer.

Meanwhile, Jenny was filled with hope after receiving Henry’s call stating that the deal was back on. Following their business agreement, the pub owner happily announced that the Rovers Return will remain open.

However, the staff got worried when she mentioned the new owners, but they were eventually relieved when Henry stated that their jobs were safe.
