EastEnders spoilers indicate that fans are going to be forced to say goodbye to this character and in a dramatic fashion, too. New reports tease that actor Shaheen Jafargholi is set to leave EastEnders as his character Shakil will be killed off in a knife attack. The actor has been on the long-running soap since 2016.
Apparently, the Britain’s Got Talent star will be written off in the coming weeks. He has been a regular character on the show since landing the role of Shakil Kazemi nearly two years ago. He’s also the son of Bonnie Langford’s character Carmel.
Spoilers say that Shakil will die tragically after he and Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) are attacked by a gang. The rumored storyline has been developed in collaboration with former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella. Her brother Ben Kinsella was fatally stabbed in a knife attack back in 2008.

EastEnders producer John Yorke explained to the Mirror Online, “The brutal reality of knife crime was brought home to everyone at EastEnders with the tragic murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008. Ben’s sister Brooke – who has been such an important part of the show – began an inspiring campaign to bring attention to the awful consequences – a campaign that continues to this day.”
