Paula Wilcox Suggests Danger in Her Storyline In Coronation Street

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates reveal that Paula Wilcox, who plays Elaine Jones in the show, has some teasers about her storyline and that her character is probably in danger.

Stephen (played by Toddy Boyce) recently agreed to Elaine’s proposal to get married. What Elaine doesn’t know is that Stephen was drugged when he agreed to her proposal and probably didn’t intend to agree in the first place.

Elaine’s son Tim (played by Joe Duttine) doesn’t agree with the engagement. He feels a bit suspicious about why Stephen would want to marry his mom.

He said that the only thing that makes sense about the engagement is that Stephen is only marrying his mom for her money. That statement could lead to him being Stephen’s next victim if Tim really pisses him off.

But Paula Wilcox also made a suggestion that it’s not only Tim who’s in danger but also her character Elaine. She said that Elaine could be over the moon by this step forward with Stephen and that she is looking forward to having him all to herself.

Looking at it from an outside perspective, it would mean that Elaine would spend a lot of time with Stephen, thus, less time for our resident serial killer’s devious plans.

Paula added that it would be interesting to see how this relationship would turn out, especially since her character doesn’t really know what’s going on. She hopes that some people are watching out for her.

She also said that it’s not only Elaine that thinks Stephen is great. There are a lot of characters who think he is. But some people also have doubts about him, including Tim.

Paula elaborated on her character, saying that Elaine was alone for a very long time and has been wary of men ever since. But Stephen was able to get through to her. He is very smart and is great by pretending naïve and gets controlled easily.

She also said that Todd plays Stephen as if he is always unsure of himself. It is because he can’t always remember the things/lies he told someone else, and he has to be careful not to mess them up. But when Elaine sees this side of him, she doesn’t suspect anything, so she would just assume that she’s just very shy.

Elaine had already seen Stephen’s bad temper a couple of times, but Paula said that her character just sees this as random outbursts due to stress and overworking.
