Love Island alum, Cashel Barnett, AKA “Blew,” who also appeared in The Challenge: USA in 2022, has been charged with multiple offenses. They include three felony counts, including sexual abuse. Read on for more details.
Multiple Counts
Cashel Barnett starred in Love Island USA in 2019 and has a background in modeling and music. He was considered the life and soul of the party, and fans were drawn to his charismatic personality. Later, he was with Tiffany Mitchell on The Challenge, and again, fans took to him because he seemed determined and committed.

Unfortunately, things seem to have happened that might change the minds of his admirers. Multiple felony charges were laid against him. Two batches of charges arrived, according to People. The first two arose after an alleged incident in April. In May, he faced “two felonies, aggravated assault and domestic violence, and two misdemeanor charges of assault.”
Now, in June, the drummer faces more charges that arose from an alleged incident that went down near the end of last year. They include “first-degree aggravated sexual assault, third-degree aggravated assault, and third-degree domestic violence in the presence of a child.”
Five Felonies In Utah
The background to the charges involved an incident where the mom of his child claimed that a nasty scene went down. Allegedly, as said by the police in Salt Lake City, Barnett is accused of “forcefully pressing her against the couch, causing her to lose consciousness from not being able to breathe.” After she “regained consciousness, Barnett sat her up, slapped her across the face and raped her.”
Since then, the complaint claimed she suffered physical and mental injury. Of course, Cashel Barnett has legal representation because of the seriousness of the allegations against him. His attorney, Andrew K. Deesing, gave a statement to the outlet, noting that his client is keen to have his side told in court, and reminded everyone that he should be “presumed innocent” until found guilty. Barnett is not pleading guilty, maintaining his innocence.
Similarities to Other TV stars?
Similar crimes that made TV stars into celebrities for all the wrong reasons brings to mind Geoffrey Paschel. He was on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé but ended up imprisoned for 18 years after allegations of assault by an ex. He pleaded not guilty, and despite his lawyer’s best efforts, he was convicted.
Other convicted reality TV stars include American Ninja Warrior alum, Drew Drechsel, who faced charges of CSAM. Imprisoned for 121 months, he also received 15 years supervised release and needed to pay restitution. Of course, TLC fans are also familiar with Josh Duggar, who presently serves his 12.5 years in Seagoville, Texas.
