P Diddy Denied Bail Again, Risk & Past Violence, Reactions

Sean P Diddy Combs will remain behind bars after a judge denied his latest attempt at bail. Despite being acquitted of the more serious charges in his federal trial, the judge seemed to take a harsh line. Combs was convicted of two counts related to transporting women for illegal purposes under the Mann Act. The ruling came just days after the verdict, and the judge made it clear that for now, he isn’t going anywhere.

The Third Denial

The denial is the third time Combs was refused bail. This time, Judge Arun Subramanian pointed to Combs’ history of violent behavior as a major reason. According to People, the judge said Combs “cannot demonstrate he poses no danger to any person.”

That was backed up by evidence, including video of him attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway, which was leaked earlier this year. Notably, Combs’ own legal team admitted in closing arguments that “there was violence,” weakening their argument that he is a changed man.

Strong Reactions

Fans and critics have been reacting online since the verdict. Some were quick to celebrate the acquittals, but many are now pointing out that bail denial changes everything. Over on All About The Tea’s Instagram, one person commented, “Well, there you have it ladies and gentlemen. He still needs to sit. Perhaps his ‘fans’ and children, should’ve waited to celebrate.”

Another follower wrote, “At this point, I wouldn’t be shocked if the Judge gives him the max sentence for each conviction! This is what the third time he has been denied bail?”

Others were even more cutting and one of them said, “Dumb a s s people doing all that celebrating for NADA…He’s still a whole monster.”

Here’s another comment that mocked early celebrations, “Sounds like the judge disagreed with the jury?”

There was Strong Testimony

The prosecution warned early on that P. Diddy could intimidate witnesses if released. That claim seemed to stick with the judge, especially given the number of accusers and the severity of their testimony during the trial. More than 30 witnesses spoke out, detailing what prosecutors called “freak-off” parties involving drugs and coercion.

Combs is still being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while he awaits sentencing. If the judge decides to hand down the maximum allowed, he could face up to 20 years,10 for each count.

What are your thoughts on P. Diddy not getting bail despite escaping conviction of the more serious charges? Do you agree that it seems as if the judge might go for the maximum prison time for the crimes he was found guilty of doing?
