Angelina Jolie Sues FBI, Brad Pitt’s Team Calls BS

Angelina Jolie isn’t done with Brad Pitt yet. This time the information she’s suing the FBI for is information she reportedly already had, according to sources for TMZ. Read on and we’ll give you the straight dope on who’s doing what to whom.

According to a story published Tuesday by Puck, the outlet claims to have seen details of Jolie’s — reportedly sealed — lawsuit against the FBI. The lawsuit claimed that Brad Pitt put his hands on Jolie and then poured beer on her while on a flight, per Yahoo! News.

The anonymously filed lawsuit that popped up back in April appeared to have Jolie’s proverbial fingerprints all over it. TMZ recently confirmed the suspicion. Sources for Pitt reportedly say that Jolie has had the information for years. They add that she only filed the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit to stir up press about her allegations against ex-husband Brad again.

Angelina Jolie Claimed Abuse By Bradd Pitt

In a recent update to the Jolie filing, according to Yahoo! News, a probable cause statement was drafted and passed on to the chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. The problem was that the statement was given some time before Pitt was informed by the FBI that no assault charges would be filed.

Among the allegations reported by the agent was one that claimed Pitt was drinking and had moved Jolie to the rear of the aircraft, grabbed her by the shoulders, and shook her, yelling, “You’re f—cking up this family!”

Puck reported that later in the flight, there was another altercation in which Jolie claimed she had sustained injuries, reportedly giving the agent a photo of her elbow in an attempt to lend credence to her claim.

Is FBI Holding Corroborating Evidence?

Brad Pitt has continued to deny these allegations of abuse since the initial allegations. Brangelina ceased to be shortly after the airplane incident. Brad Pitt sources say that the charges against Pitt never materialized because the Interview with a Vampire actor was innocent.

As the FBI never pursued the case, it does beg the question: what was their reasoning? These new filings by Jolie suggest that there is a need for those unredacted records and corroborating evidence that are still in FBI possession.
