Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Feud Keeps Getting Compared To Johnny Depp And Amber Heard: Here’s Why That’s Wrong!

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Feud Keeps Getting Compared To Johnny Depp And Amber Heard: Here's Why That's Wrong!Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just can’t seem to resolve their differences. And for several reasons, their on-going war has sparked comparisons to Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. For instance, those who believe in Brad’s innocence point to Johnny winning his trial as evidence for the comparisons. And in the same way, those who attacked Amber have now turned on Angelina.

But do the comparisons really seem valid? Learn what an expert says. And get more details below.

Angelina Jolie Accuses Brad Pitt Of Abuse

Johnny Depp recently won his trial against Amber Heard. And both during the trial and after, Deep fans flocked to cheer Johnny and shame Amber. Noticeably fewer stood up to support Heard. And now Brad Pitt battling against Angelina Jolie repeatedly gets compared to Depp versus Heard. But an expert told Newsweek the comparisons don’t seem valid.

Angelina raised awareness of her allegations against Brad this month in a court filing. The 47-year-old actress alleged that her ex husband, 58, had behaved abusively toward their six kids and her during a 2016 plane ride. And in graphic detail, Jolie alleged that Pitt had grabbed her by the head. He then allegedly shook her and choked one of their children.

However, Brad’s attorney responded to the court filing in a statement. And the lawyer denied Angelina’s allegations. “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one—unlike the other side,” stated the actor’s attorney. “But he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do.” The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services subsequently investigated the alleged child abuse and cleared Pitt.

Expert Denies Angelina Jolie And Amber Heard Parallels

Johnny Depp began his war with his ex-wife Amber Heard after her 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post alleging domestic abuse. And though the 36-year-old actress did not name the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star in the essay, Depp filed a defamation lawsuit for $50 million because of the impact on his career. However, Heard then filed her own lawsuit for $100 million.

But the highly publicized court trial ended with the jury awarding Depp $15 million in damages. And in contrast, Heard received $2 million for her counter lawsuit. However, expert Eric Schiffer, chairman of L.A.’s Reputation Management Consultants, argued that the comparisons don’t seem valid. And he pointed out that the only true part of the parallel lies in their “star power.” As a result, comparing “Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with Depp and Heard doesn’t equate.”

And Schiffer offered a prediction. Brad versus Angelina “won’t capture anywhere close to the same attention,” he said. “The Depp case was not a single incident but a series of admitted dysfunctional acts over time that went boom. With Pitt, it was one plane ride he wished he never took.”

Twitter Argues Johnny Depp Vs Brad Pitt, Amber Heard Vs Angelina Jolie

But social media seems determined to compare Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp as well as Angelina Jolie and Amber Heard. For instance, on Twitter, fans quickly took sides. And some noted how different media also align themselves with various sides.

When TMZ accused Angelina of “trying to run Brad Pitt’s name through the mud all over again,” one Twitter user posted a reminder. “Reminder that Brad Pitt has the same PR team as Johnny Depp,” pointed out the commentator. And that response won thousands of likes for the note.

However, the social media posts against Amber Heard continue to fill up Twitter and TikTok. And some have turned to labeling Angelina as “Amber 2.0.” As a result, one Twitter commentator slammed the comparisons between Jolie and Heard. “TikTok and YouTube are still being flooded with videos about Amber Heard. Since the trial ended, a string of high-profile women, most recently Angelina Jolie, have been labeled “Amber 2.0.” It’s a money-making strategy relying on centuries-old misogyny,” claimed the Twitter critic.
