Brad Pitt Makes An Ugly Mess Of Hurricane Katrina Housing Horror

Brad Pitt news reveals that the beautiful actor has made an ugly mess of trying to help the 2005 victims of Hurricane Katrina. You remember, that time that Celine Dion joined the out of touch chorus of celeb voices trying to make things right by crying, “take a kayak,” on The Larry King Show. It turns out that egoistic Pitt’s attempt to “help” proved even more disastrous than Dion’s, and now the victims look to have been victimized twice.
In 2005 Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation built 109 “affordable homes” in New Orleans. The bad news is that today the, “vast majority of the … constructed homes are riddled with construction-related problems that have led to mold, termites, rotting wood, flooding and other woes.” Where is Pitt now? According to international researcher Judith Keller, “Make It Right, despite what its name might suggest, has not resolved these issues and has stopped assisting residents. Instead, the movie star-led nonprofit has apparently become defunct.”
Well isn’t that an inconvenient truth?
Brad Pitt News – Where Is The Celeb When The World Needs Him?
Back in the day celebs like Pitt were oozing out of the woodwork to get their names attached to Katrina’s humanitarian projects. He partnered with overhyped architect Frank Gehry on houses that today are, “making many residents fear for their health.” Maybe that headline isn’t sexy enough to lure the A-list celebs and architects from their mansions?
The celebrated architects who designed the decaying homes “tried” to make them green and sustainable with safe and reusable materials, clean water, renewable energy solar panels and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. Instead it sounds like a vanity project run amok.
Brad Pitt News – He Didn’t ‘Make It Right’
According to Keller, some of the structures haven’t made it to the ten year mark and only six are in adequate shape with two so far, “demolished because of severe mold problems,” and six vacant due to mold, rot, flooding and structural issues. Who would have thought that in the boggy basin of New Orleans, precautions to prevent mold would be required of world-class architects and expected of Mr. Brad Pitt?
It gets better—some of the houses were sold without, “essential features such as rain gutters, overhangs, waterproof painting or covered beams – all of which are necessary to withstand New Orleans’ subtropical climate and heavy rainfall.”
In 2007 Pitt was happy to take credit for Make It Right; in 2022 he’s nowhere to be found. And he can’t claim to know nothing about the mess he caused. Three years ago Pitt’s lawyers tried to shield him from blame by claiming that, “he could not be sued over the housing development’s failings, but a judge ruled in 2019 that the movie star would remain a defendant because of his role as Make It Right’s founder and chief fundraiser.”
One resident of the shambolic housing told Keller, “They kind of got a second chance to make it wrong, not make it right again. They made it wrong twice.” Another resident said that the flat roof in her affordable home failed after less than a year, unable to withstand the New Orleans downpours.

Brad Pitt News – Why Is Brad Pitt Ignoring Victims?
After complaints got them nowhere, some of Brad Pitt’s beneficiaries filed lawsuits against his nonprofit Make It Right. Good luck with that. According to Keller, the group is being sued by a bank, its website is defunct and the phone number is out of order–kind of like Brad Pitt.
