Britney Spears repeatedly has concerned her social media followers with some of her posts. But now several new reports claim that the singer’s family and friends have become worried as well.

And with alleged drug abuse as well as mental health concerns soaring, those close to Britney planned an intervention.

Britney Spears’ – Friends Feared She Would Die Without Intervention

Because of Britney Spears’ alleged drug abuse as well as mental health concerns, her friends reportedly planned an intervention. However, the singer learned about those plans, which reportedly included some of her family members. As a result, those close to her felt forced to cancel the intervention, said insiders via Radar.

But the cancellation took place only after some of those closest to Britney truly worried about her future. And one insider shared that Spears has struggled for a significant amount of time. Because of their worries about her alleged mental health problems and substance abuse, they felt that an intervention seemed like the only solution.

“I’m afraid she’s gonna die,” admitted one friend. And insiders described Britney as increasingly “volatile and erratic.” But one source expressed concern about Spears’ alleged use of drugs to “hype her up.” And that insider also saw Britney “flying off the handle.” However, Spears also allegedly struggled with staying consistent in the use of medication to stabilize her.

But her friends and family hoped that an intervention would help. To do so, one of her friends rented a home in Los Angeles. And the team planned to take Britney to that home to face an intervention. The group reportedly included her husband Sam Asghari, manager, and doctors. And they hoped to get Britney to remain at the house for two months for treatment.

Britney Spears – Learns About Intervention

However, those close to Spears then cancelled the plans when the singer learned about the idea. But Britney did agree to meet with a different doctor. And her first session with the new doctor reportedly went well.

Although Britney’s husband participated in the plans for an intervention, Jamie Spears, Lynne Spears and Britney’s two sons did not take any role in the scheme. However, those involved had hoped that Britney could get both psychological counseling and medical treatment during the planned two-month period. As to why the plans got completely cancelled when Spears learned about it, TMZ reported that no one would answer that question.

But an insider told Page Six that the intervention did not occur because some felt it seemed “unnecessary.” And the source added, “Unfortunately, there is a lot of hysteria in the media right now. But Britney is fine. And much of this has been overblown and grossly distorted.”
