Britney Spears’ parents aren’t so sure letting their daughter off her 13-year conservatorship had been the best thing for her. According to an insider, Jamie Spears, 71, doesn’t care who wants to label him the “bad guy” as long as he’s able to save his daughter.
He’s reportedly taking steps to intervene and stop what has been deemed another mental spiral for the pop princess.
Britney Spears Father Is Concerned About Her Mental Health Following Reports She Was Injured At A Hotel
The ‘Circus’ singer’s behavior in recent months is said to be causing worries for her parents, especially her dad who feels that a repeat of her 2007/2008 public breakdown may be around the corner.
This is coming amid reports she was allegedly involved in a fight with her ex boyfriend at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, California.
According to an insider, Jamie has told friends that he is afraid his “baby girl will become sick again.” There’s said to be real fears Britney “could even die” if she does not receive immediate help.
Her mother and father “worry that her desire to feel free and do as she pleases leads her to choices where she… or be led by others into problematic situations.”
The source noted that it’s nothing new that Britney has been battling mental issues since they were “discussed openly in her court hearings and paperwork by her and conservators.”
They added: “Then she was on a stable controlled system in place of medication and therapy, but now that has ended.”
The source then went on to share that there are real fears within the family that Britney could be on the verge of a massive breakdown. “There are clear worries from Jamie’s side that he sees similarities to how Britney was back in 2007 and 2008,” the insider claimed.
“He knows that he has been portrayed as the bad guy by his daughter and the Free Britney movement, but he maintains that his actions saved her life,” the source said, adding, “He worries that he may have to try and take a similar step again because her mental welfare seems to be spiraling.” The #freeBritney movement that saw the end of Britney’s 13-year conservatorship mainly depicted Jamie as the bad guy.
In recent times, Britney has shared about struggling mentally amid her divorce from Sam Asghari, though she maintains that she’s learning to find joy in travels and friendship.
