Britney Spears is said to be “numb” after being forced to settle her legal action against her father, Jamie Spears, who oversaw her conservatorship for thirteen whole years.

As a result of this, the “Circus” hitmaker has decided to fix the rift existing between her and her sons, fearing that anymore wait may lead to a fractured relationship that could become unfixable.

Britney Spears is not happy that she couldn’t make her father “pay for her conservatorship,” something she claimed ruined and affected her life in so many ways.

However, the “Woman in Me” author is said to be moving on after a “perplexing and stress-filled few weeks” by attempting to rebuild her relationship with her boys, both of whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline.

At the moment, the boys are said to be happily living with their dad in Hawaii and are not that much interested in maintaining a relationship with their mother (they didn’t even attend her 2022 wedding with fitness coach Sam Asghari).

After what has been a “turbulent few years” for her and her boys, Britney is said to be keen on fixing things in fears she “may lose touch forever with the boys.”

“This legal issue and loss with her dad has made her want to patch up her problems with the kids,” the source said.

Britney Spears – Felt “Cheated” After Losing Legal Battle Against Her Father

According to the source, Britney sought this alternative as a way to recover from the fact that she couldn’t make her father publicly accountable for the way he ran her life over the past decade.

The Las Vegas source further told The Sun, “Britney has seen her world turned on its head in recent weeks, because her hopes were dashed of fighting her father. Britney has felt like her voice has been taken away again because she thought that a trial against her dad could show the world how she felt mistreated and cheated.”

They added: “But now that possibility has come to an end, she has been reflecting on rebuilding her family, or at least trying. But she wants to try again and get them back in her life. There is a sense that after feeling let down by her father she doesn’t want her boys to ever feel that way with her.”

The source noted that the boys are keeping their distance from her, preferring to be with Kevin and his wife Victoria. However, Britney has made moves to spend more time with them.

“In recent weeks she [Britney] has spoken more about making sure the boys really know how much ‘mom misses them,’” the source shared.
