Casey Affleck On Why He Couldn’t Make His Brother’s Lavish Wedding With Jennifer Lopez

Even though Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s second, and bigger, wedding didn’t start out on the right note – with Ben’s mother being rushed to the hospital hours before the wedding was set to begin on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t end on a loud note. As the dust is clearing, fans are beginning to figure out who attended the wedding and who didn’t.

One thing’s for sure, we know that Jennifer Garner was not at the ceremony. And now we’re finding out that Ben Affleck’s brother Casey didn’t make it.

However, lots of celebrity friends and family attended the event, which Ben reportedly wanted to throw to satisfy Jennifer Lopez’s taste.

Casey Affleck’s – Family Obligations Sadly Made Him Miss His Brother’s Saturday Wedding In Georgia

On Saturday, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez celebrated their marriage with massive events that spanned for three days at Affleck’s sprawling Georgia compound.

While many of the Afflecks could make the wedding, Ben Affleck’s younger brother Casey couldn’t travel to take part in the ceremony. According to a source, Casey didn’t make it to the ceremony on Saturday “unfortunately because of family, parental obligations at home.”

Casey, 47, was spotted a day before the wedding with girlfriend Caylee Cowan after a visit to Affleck family favorite Dunkin’ Donuts in Los Angeles. On the day of the wedding, he was photographed in LA. The younger Affleck shares sons Indiana, 18, and 14-year-old Atticus with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.

His absence didn’t stop Jen and Ben’s ceremony from being a very happy one, with friends such as Ben’s pal Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso, Clerks auteur Kevin Smith and wife Jennifer, as well as Clerks star Jason Mewes and wife Jordan Monsant in attendance.

Patrick Whitesell, a top Hollywood talent agent, and his wife, model/actress Pia Miller, were also in attendance.

Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez’s – Wedding Details

On Friday, an insider revealed that Affleck, 50, and Lopez, 53, “have an extraordinary weekend of celebrations planned,” including “a pre-wedding party, a ceremony and … lots of fun lined up.”

The celebrations opened on August 19 with a rehearsal dinner, with the ceremony taking place on Saturday. The weekend celebrations concluded on Sunday with a barbecue and picnic.

The pair originally tied the knot quickly and quietly on July 17 at Las Vegas.
