Charlie Sheen Changes Custody Details For Sons

If Charlie Sheen’s ex wife Brooke Mueller fails a drug test, the court granted the actor’s emergency request for full custody of his sons with his ex.

And Charlie and Brooke mutually agreed to change the custody details for their 14-year-old twin sons, per Us.

Court documents revealed that Sheen, 58, asked for joint physical and legal custody with Mueller, 46. And the court granted the emergency request. However, Charlie will “immediately” assume “sole legal custody” of sons Bob and Max “in the event Brooke tests positive” for drugs or alcohol.

But currently, the teenagers mainly live with their father. And their mother receives “reasonable and flexible periods” of custody and visitation.

However, Brooke must test for drugs and alcohol as often as required by her probation officer within 24 hours of a written request from Sheen or his attorney.

Charlie Sheen Pays Ex’s Rent If She Stays Sober

And Charlie will give Mueller additional financial help. But he also will pay her rent if she stays sober. The documents also noted that Sheen and Mueller signed the second child custody modification in August 2023. And that occurred a month after she “relapsed and engaged in abusing alcohol and controlled substances.”

However, after tying the knot in 2008, both Sheen and Mueller have gone through ups and downs. The couple welcomed their twin baby boys just a year after their wedding. But they split in 2010.

And the two have battled addiction. For instance, Mueller voluntarily headed to an East Coast treatment center in August 2019 in the wake of multiple drug-related incidents. And since that treatment, she and her ex husband have co-parented their boys.

But Charlie has shared that he achieved six years of sobriety. And the single father also parents his daughters Sami, 19, and Lola, 18, with Denise Richards, and daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez, 38, with Paula Profit.

However, in the past few years, Sheen has focused on his twin sons. And he explained in an interview last month, “I’ve mostly been raising my 14-year-old boys. Their mom has been trying to figure some stuff out on her end, so she’s not in the picture too much right now.”

But Charlie commented that his teenagers don’t care about his acting career. And he admitted, “It doesn’t matter, whatever we’re doing that might be important and connected to our job, or some high brow moment of responsibility, the kids don’t care.”
