Charlie Sheen's Return In Second Season of 'Bookie' ConfirmedFans were so awed by Charlie Sheen‘s portrayal of a fictionalized version of himself in the Max series ‘Bookie’ that they have said so as many times as are needed for the show to decide to bring him in for the second ride.

So we’re soon going to be getting more Charlie Sheen playing Charlie Sheen. One can’t simply have enough of the guy, can we?

‘Two and A Half Men’s’ Creator Reveals Charlie Sheen’s Return In Upcoming Season of ‘Bookie’

There’s something satisfying about watching an actor of Sheen’s caliber poking fun at himself, and perhaps that’s why ‘Bookie’ creators have decided to bring him back onboard.

The season 1 of the show saw Sheen play a fictionalized version of himself in a recurring role. The show was recently renewed for another season run after it drew strong reviews from fans.

At first, it wasn’t clear whether Sheen would return, but Lorre has now dispelled all doubts.

“I’ve always been an admirer of his work. His work is impeccable,” Lorre said. “After all this time, his chops are undiminished. It was an extraordinary experience to put everything behind us and work together again.”

Lorre, who previously worked with Sheen in ‘Two and a Half Men,‘ co-created the series with Nick Bakay.

Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco plays the lead role as Danny, a bookie who partners up with a former NFL star, Ray, (Omar J. Dorsey) to run an illegal sports betting operation.

Actress Andrea Anders plays Danny’s wife Sandra in the series, with Maxim Swinton playing Sandra’s son, Anthony.

“Every collection is an adventure,” Bakay shared on what fans can expect from Ray and Danny in the next season. “They are in a business where they either have large windfalls or they are vulnerable to predators. There will be a roller coaster ride [in Season 2], and there may be a trip to Costa Rica.”

Lorre and Sheen’s reunion have sent fans wondering whether a ‘Two and a Half Men’ revival may be in the works. However, Sheen’s old co-star, Jon Cryer, has made it clear he won’t be hopping on any major project with Sheen following their fallout.
