Chris Hemsworth Shares What He Has In Mind For Daughter India Rose’s Future

Rather than let his daughter follow his footsteps, the “Extraction 2” star Chris Hemsworth has something else in mind.

As a father who wishes for his kids to have only the best, Hemsworth prefers his daughter India Rose, 11, to have a childhood and grow up like every normal kid before she can pursue a career in acting.

Of course, Hemsworth is super proud of India Rose’s epic debut in his 2022 Marvel superhero film “Thor: Love and Thunder” as a young Asgardian, but, that doesn’t mean he wants her to immerse herself into acting at such an early stage.

In a recent interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” the “Men in Black: International” actor told the outlet that India’s role “Was originally supposed to be just a super-quick little moment in the film, and then the character expanded due to the story changing.”

So he asked India, “I said, ‘Oh, do you want to do some dialog in the film?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, cool!'” He proudly noted that India “was a pro and loved it,” because she smashed her role smoothly.

However, despite being so good at acting which might be attributed to her genes (India’s mom Elsa Pataky is also an actress), Hemsworth is insisting, “But I want her to have a childhood, and I think so does she.”

The actor went on to explain how he discussed it with India, “I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid.’ Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.”

It’s already been established that the actor got himself an actress as a wife, together they share kids India Rose, 11, and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, both 9.

Although India’s acting stole the show, she wasn’t the only sibling in “Thor: Love and Thunder”. The twins were also featured in the movie. One of the actually played the role of young Thor.

During the premier of his latest movie ” Extraction 2,” Hemsworth told PEOPLE that his kids joined him on the set of the film and nearly jumped into the film.

“My kids love it, my kids love it,” the “Avengers” star affirmed to People, radiating joy. “My kids were there on set a lot to see this stuff. And they wanted to jump in front of the camera and participate.”
