Chris Noth Blasts Aftermath News Of His Sex And The City Cast Scandal As “Absolute Nonsense”

The “Sex and the City” alum Chris Noth’s sexual assault scandal made rounds in December 2021 after two women came forward to allege that they were sexually assaulted by the famous actor.

Since the allegations, several other women have stepped up with their own stories of how they were victims of the “And Just Like That” actor.

After the first two allegations, Noth’s best friend Sarah Jessica Parker, together with her “And Just Like That” costars, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, issued a joint statement on their social media accounts the following year, April 2022, and shared their support for the women involved.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” they wrote. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Due to the statements released by SJP, Nixon, and Davis, there were speculations that Noth was cut off from being friends with the three women who had been his good friends since before the scandal.

An American news outlet even went as far as publishing a report on it, claiming that Noth was “iced out” from the group.

Chris Noth — Noth’s Reaction To The Article

The report claimed that since the scandal, the women have “not invited” the 68-year-old actor “to their parties” and they have also stopped sending Him “Greetings cards or happy birthday texts.”

The report further alleged that Noth believes that his former buddies “owe him an apology for the rude behavior” as he also “wonders why SJP and her troupe continue to leave him out in the cold.”

Apparently, Noth didn’t find the news funny at all and he didn’t waste time to debunk it. He immediately made a statement on Saturday, June 23, to counter the article.

His statement was released together with a screenshot of the article which its headline read, “Chris Noth Feels “Iced Out” By Sex And The City Cast After Sexual Assault Claims: Report.”

The actor said, “I usually don’t respond to this kind of thing,” as he added, “And I do know that people like drama and gossip… but this article by Samantha Ibrahim is absolute nonsense. Just thought you’d like to know.”

Noth had previously denied all allegations leveled against him, and claimed in the statement he issued that December 2021 that, “the encounters were consensual.”

Noth said, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross.”

“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

Chris Noth — What Noth’s Scandal Cost Him

Following the allegations, It was revealed that Noth was removed from the season finale of “And Just Like That…,” where his character was originally slated to appear in a fantasy-like sequence beside Carrie as she scattered his ashes in Paris.

A Peloton advert that starred Noth was equally removed from the brand’s social media pages and he was dropped from the TV series “The Equalizer.”

A $12 million deal to acquire his Ambhar tequila brand was also withdrawn by Entertainment Arts Research, and he was dropped by his talent agency, A3 Artists Agency.
