While explaining how he got himself into the whole mess, Noth said, “You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it’s just a little side dance, and it’s fun.

You’re not hurting anybody. No one’s going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It’s like, ‘Well, I’m not going to get this chance again.'”

Chris Noth — Noth Believes He Can’t “Change Anyone’s Mind About Him”

In December 2021, two women came forward to accuse the “Law and Order” actor of sexual assault.

Since the allegations, several other women have stepped up with their own stories of how they were sexually assaulted by the actor including actress Zoe Lister-Jones and writer Heather Kristin.

Speaking with USA Today the “And Just Like That” actor said that with the way things are, there’s nothing he can do to make people believe that he’s innocent of the accusations.

“There’s nothing I can say to change anyone’s mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave. It sounds defensive,

I’m not. There’s no criminal court. There’s no criminal trial. There’s nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses.”

“It sounds defensive,” he said. “I’m not. There’s no criminal court. There’s no criminal trial. There’s nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses.

I don’t like talking about it because as soon as I do, you’ll get the Daily Mail or someone grabbing a part of it and doing it, and I don’t want my kids seeing that.”

After the news of his sexual assault broke, Noth’s best friend Sarah Jessica Parker, together with her “And Just Like That” costars, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, issued a joint statement on their social media accounts the following year, April 2022, and shared their support for the women involved.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” they wrote. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences.

We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Chris Noth — Noth Has Chosen Not To “Lay Down And Just Say It’s Over.”

Following the allegations, It was revealed that Noth was removed from the season finale of “And Just Like That…,” where his character was originally slated to appear in a fantasy-like sequence beside Carrie as she scattered his ashes in Paris.

A Peloton advert that starred Noth was equally removed from the brand’s social media pages and he was dropped from the TV series “The Equalizer.”

Also, a $12 million deal to acquire his Ambhar tequila brand was also withdrawn by Entertainment Arts Research, and he was dropped by his talent agency, A3 Artists Agency.

However, despite losing a lot, the 68-year-old has decided not to give up. He told USA Today, “I’m not going to lay down and just say it’s over.

It’s a salacious story, but it’s just not a true one. And I can’t just say ‘Well, OK, that’s it for me’ because of that.”

Continuing, he said, “I’m an actor. I have other things that I want to do creatively. And I have children to support. I can’t just rest on my laurels.

So yeah, I have enough to let a year drift, but I don’t know how to gauge or judge getting back into the club, the business, because corporations are frightened.

I have to just continue on. It’s rough, because people are scared, and their fear leads them. And I have to just persevere because I still have a creative life.”
