Daniel Craig is most widely known for his five movie-run as the famous fictional British spy, James Bond. In “No Time To Die,” he said goodbye to the remarkable franchise, but not before leaving a mark so indelible that “James Bond” producers would have a hard time replacing him.

Daniel Craig Ended Up “Rolling Around On the Floor” With These Cute Guys During Meeting With Queen

While appearing on a recent episode of The Late Show, Craig recalled a joke the late Queen Elizabeth made about him as they filmed their 2012 sketch for the London Olympics.

Speaking to host Stephen Colbert, the action star reminisced on a light-hearted joke the Queen made during their famous evening together. He said: “We were having our photograph taken, and she just went, ‘Oh no, he’s the one that doesn’t smile.’”

He then remembered the Queen as an easy-going person who was “very funny, wants to crack a joke, and crack a joke about me.”

When asked what the adorable corgis were like, Craig replied, “I was rolling around on the floor with them most of the time. I mean, they’re just there. I think they have their own footmen. They’re very friendly.”

In December 2021, Craig was named in the New Year’s Honors List and was awarded the Order of Saint Michael and Saint George. The honor is typically given to spies and diplomats.

When the Queen passed away on September 8, 2022, several notable figures around the world paid her a tribute for the long and influential life she lived.

Daniel Craig was one of them. He wrote: “I, like so many, was deeply saddened by the news today and my thoughts are with the royal family, those she loved and all those who loved her.”

Daniel added: “She leaves an incomparable legacy and will be profoundly missed.”
