The singer took to Instagram to share a new line of shoes in time for the fall. She promoted her Katy Perry Collections, which has shoes and accessories.

Of course, it wasn’t the kind of announcement that fans were looking for. They were hoping that she would announce a new single or album.

“Chic & seek for your week @katyperrycollections,” Katy Perry wrote in the Instagram caption.

Most of the time, Katy promotes her accessories line. Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

They took this as a sign that Katy was working on new music to go with her tour. In 2018, she announced that she was taking a break from touring.

Fans think the butterfly ring is a clue that new music is in the works. Back in May, Katy liked a tweet that butterflies symbolize a new era. She used butterfly imagery for her Prism era and in the music video for her 2012 single “Wide Awake.”
