Dionne Warwick Questions Elon Musk’s “True” Intentions About Twitter Policy

If you’re confused about what Elon Musk actually wants to do with Twitter, you’re not alone. Fresh off from becoming Twitter’s new owner and CEO, the multi-billionaire said that he’ll banish the old verification system in favor of one where users paid $8/month to keep their blue verification badges. He said that the new method will abolish Twitter’s caste system.

But after he lost out in a recent poll asking Twitter fans to decide whether they want him to stay on as CEO, he hinted that next time, the only people that will be allowed to vote in the poll will be people spotting Twitter Blue. Way to go back on his previous claims, isn’t it?

But she will love to have a chat with the owner of the $44 billion company.

Dionne Warwick Questions Elon Musk's “True” Intentions About Twitter Policy

“I have to meet him,” Warwick said of the Tesla and SpaceX owner in this week’s issue of PEOPLE. “I know a lot of people have walked away from Twitter. That’s prior to knowing exactly what he’s going to do. He’s new to the game.”

She continued: “His attitude is freedom of speech, which is mine as well. However, there’s a way to do it. That’s one of the conversations I’m going to have with him. What is your true intent? I understand your freedom of speech attitude but how are you going to contain it, so it does not get out of hand?”

The 82-year-old is also the subject of a CNN documentary, titled “Dionne Warwick: Don’t Take Me Over”, set to be aired on New Year’s Day.

The film will explore her amazing life, starting from when she was a 6-year-old gospel singer to her recent works and collaborations, including working with Chance the Rapper and her upcoming release with Dolly Parton.
