After a week-long break, the Johnny Depp, Amber Heard defamation trial returned Monday and, according to Geo News, that’s when Heard briefly mentioned, and even gushed a little over, Elon Musk.
Monday, May 17, Heard took the stand again testifying about attending the 2016 Meta Gala alone having been “stood up” by Depp. Continue reading and we’ll tell you about when she met Elon Musk.
Johhny Depp – Stands Amber Heard Up And 2016 Meta Gala, Enter Musk
Court proceedings for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s $50 million defamation case against Heard picked up again on Monday and the Aquaman star briefly touch on her meeting with Elon Musk. As Heard took the witness stand again, she spoke about attending the 2016 Meta Gala alone claiming, “he effectively stood me up.”
She then said that Elon Musk had been attending the Gala with his mother and that he reminded her that they had met before, adding that he was a “real gentleman” and that he was “real nice.” According to Heard, that’s when the two “became friends.”
Johnny Depp – Expected To Return To Stand
During her already-long testimony, Heard has detailed her troubled relationship with the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas star which included physical fights between the pair. Notably, though Depp has sued Heard for $50 million, Heard filed a countersuit for $100 million.
It’s expected that Depp will also be returning to the stand before the end of the trial. Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, testified and actor Ellen Barkin, with whom Depp had a brief relationship in the 90s is also expected to testify.

Amber Heard – Expected To Testify All Day Tuesday
According to Deadline, towards the end of her time on the stand Monday the Drive Angry star testified about the $500,000 donation to the ACLU made by Heard’s post-Depp love interest, Elon Musk. In some of her last minutes on the stand, Heard became adamant that the donations by Musk didn’t count against the $3.5 million sum the actress had already pledged.
Though Musk was originally named as a potential witness in the defamation trial, it was confirmed weeks ago that he will, in fact, not be testifying. Heard is expected to be grilled by Depp attorney Camille Vasquez all day Tuesday, as well, as the trial moves on and more truth is gleaned from the wreckage of the two star’s short-lived relationship.
