George Clooney And Brad Pitt Join Forces For New Movie: Big Payday

60-year-old George Clooney and 57-year-old Brad Pitt are teaming up together for a movie. With their individual production houses involved in the production and the pair set to star in the untitled thriller, it’ll be another one of the projects that the long-time pals get to be heavily involved in together.

George Clooney And Brad Pitt To Earn Big For The Upcoming Project

The “Burn After Reading” co-stars are reportedly at the heart of “one of the biggest bidding wars of the year” in Hollywood after the pair teamed up with the director of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” Jon Watts for a new film.

Watts will write, direct and produce the currently untitled project, while George Clooney and Brad Pitt will star together as lone wolf fixers assigned to handle the same job. The two actors will also be producing the movie under their own labels: George’s Smokehouse Pictures and Brad’s Plan B Entertainment.

Per a report by the Hollywood Reporter, giant production studios like Sony, Lionsgate, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Annapurna, Universal, MGM, and Warner Bros. are all vying to snatch up the project, which could lead to a deal of more than $20 million for the actors.

The friendship between these two Hollywood veterans have survived the years in between, and earlier this year, George Clooney starred as a Brad Pitt super-fan in a comedic Omaze fundraising clip.

“The Midnight Sky” actor stood in a bedroom plastered in posters of the “Troy” actor. He was also videoed holding a pillow with his face on it in the funny clip titled “World’s Worst Pandemic Roommate”.

George Clooney and his lawyer wife Amal used the campaign to give a fan the chance to stay with the couple at their home in Lake Como, Italy. The initiative was used to raise funds for the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which provides a platform for justice to be met through accountability for human rights abuses taking place around the world.

Studios And Streamers In Bidding War For George Clooney And Brad Pitt-Starring Film

Not much details about the upcoming film is made public at the moment, except that the two famous stars’ on-screen characters will be working on the same job.

The two friends and Hollywood’s most recognizable faces last starred on-screen together in the “Ocean’s 11” movies, where their chemistry was remarkable.

On the other hand, Watts could also see a career-high payout and could possibly enjoy more creative freedom, depending on the deal struck, according to Deadline. The filmmaker has directed the past three Spider-Man movies – Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Watts has also been tapped to work on a new “Fantastic Four” movie which is currently in development.
