Gisele Bundchen wants to set the record straight. While there have been plenty of reports (and memes) suggesting that she gave Tom Brady an ultimatum when it came to his career, the Brazilian supermodel says there’s no truth to that whatsoever. Here’s what you need to know.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele said that all of the reports about how she forced Tom to choose between his NFL career and his family life were simply untrue. She also said that she never gave her ex-husband an ultimatum about retiring (which he had done several times in the past, nonetheless).

Calling all the false reports “hurtful,” she said that the rumors were “the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever.

If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”

Gisele also went on to say that she would never divorce Tom because he wanted to play one more season in the NFL. She clarified that all by saying, “Wow, people really made it about that. What’s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle…It’s not so black and white.”

Gisele Bundchen – Sets The Record Straight On A Few Rumors

The model mom of three also admitted that Tom’s last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was definitely not a very good season at all. She also said that when they moved to Tampa, that was the first time she ever stepped foot in the city, too.

“It was tough, but you know what? Let’s just be honest. It’s a team sport and you can’t play alone. I think he did great under the circumstances that he had. I mean, he had no offensive line,” she said.
