Hayden Panettiere Says She “Almost Puked” While Recording Music For Nashville, Here’s Why

Having stage fright is purely natural even for celebrities. Recently, The “Heroes” alum Hayden Panettiere revealed exclusively to Erin Lim Rhodes of “E! News’ The Rundown” during an interview that her first time recording music for her “Nashville” season 1, she had stage fright.

The “Scream” actress gave her reason for being scared “I was not trained. Like, terrified, scared s–tless, shaking.”

She went on to add, “I walk in, apologizing to the producers already because I’m like, ‘Look, it’s gonna take me a long time to warm up but I will get there. I will get it done, I promise.'”

Hayden starred as Juliette Barnes, a pop country singer in the series which ran for 6 seasons. It aired from 2012 to 2018, and Hayden starred in all six of them.

Hayden told Rhodes that while she was yet to get a hang of what she was doing concerning recording music in the show, she was suddenly alerted that producers would be coming over.

“They told me mid-session, ‘All the producers are going to stop by,’ I almost puked, pooped, fainted. I think I called somebody and said, ‘Nobody told me,’ hiccupping and crying.”

Eventually, just like in every movie she starred in, Hayden aced her role. To the extent that her season 1 track “Telescope” topped the Billboard Country Songs Chart following its release in 2012.

Rhodes also asked the “Ice Princess” star what her best track out of all the tracts she recorded for the film was, and she said it might have never been heard by her fans.

“I think probably if I went through all of them, it would be one that never made it really onto the show.” Said, Hayden.

Hayden Panettiere — Hayden Was Nervous While Filming “Scream 6”

Hayden took stayed away from acting for over four years, and when she returned, she got her role as Kirby Reed from the 2011 film Scream 4, and played it in Scream 6.

Speaking with E! News, Hayden shared that after her hiatus she was scared while filming Scream 6 onstage, and memorizing her lines became difficult for her.

“I was terrified, I was genuinely terrified, I remember the first time I went to memorize a scene—I used to be able to memorize like it was nothing—and it took me an hour to memorize it. I started having panic attacks.”

She went on to say “I was like, that part of my brain has atrophied; it doesn’t work anymore. That muscle you have to continuously train. Luckily, when I got there and we did the scene and the camera was not on me at first and I got everything out and I didn’t have a lot of lines, an easy scene first, I was like, ‘Okay, I can do this.'”

Hayden acknowledged that she was able to pull through because her fans believed in her. “They had great timing. The time that I needed it the most, they really inspired me and made my heart feel very full.”
