Liam Neeson – Wants Kevin Spacey To Return After Star Confessed He’s Still Ostracized From the Community
We could say that Kevin Spacey was on top of the world when sexual allegations against him gained steam, leading streaming giant Netflix to cut all ties with him in 2017.
These days, he still hasn’t made the much-anticipated comeback despite being acquitted of a number of the sexual offences made against him following a trial in London.
He was also cleared of accusations that he made unwanted advances, but despite these wins, Spacey still feels like he’s losing due to his continued shunning by the industry.
Worse still is the release of Channel’s 4 documentary ‘Spacey Unmasked’ that provided fresh insights and claims to the whole Spacey abuse allegations.
To defend him from the barrage of accusations, several stars have come forward to praise his character.
‘Basic Instinct’ star Sharon Stone told Irish Newspaper: “I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work. He is a genius. He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will.”
The 66-year-old gushed that it was clear aspiring actors had “wanted and want to be around him.
She added: “It’s terrible that they are blaming him for not being able to come to terms with themselves for using him and negotiating with themselves because they didn’t get their secret agendas.”
What Liam Neeson Has To Say About Kevin Spacey’s Continued Absence From the Entertainment Industry
‘Taken” film star Liam Neeson stressed the importance of Kevin Spacey’s contributions to the movie industry, saying, “Kevin is a good man and a man of character. Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly.”
British actor and writer Stephen Fry instead chose to bash Channel 4 for ‘Spacey Unmasked,’ as he wondered how a network can “devote a whole documentary to accusations that simply do not add up to crimes… how can that be considered proportionate and justified?”
He claimed that it was “wrong to continue to batter a reputation on the strength of assertion and rhetoric rather than evidence and proof? Unless I’m missing something, I think he has paid the price.”
