Home Improvement Zachery Ty Bryan Faces 3 Years In Prison

The “Held For Ransom” star Zachery Ty Brian is likely to face three years in prison following his arrest on February 17.

The actor who has faced tons of DUI arrests was driving home after spending time drinking in a bar in California when he was arrested by La Quinta Police, California.

According to the court documents provided, Zachery refused to take a sobriety test but the police revealed that his alcohol blood level tested to 0.5 which is double the legal limit. The police also said, “Zachery showed signs of impairment during a traffic stop.”

To add to his crime, after his arrest, he got involved in an incident that led to property damage. At the place of the incident, Zachery refused to provide his name and address. If he were to be convicted of his charges, the “The Fast And The Furious” actor is likely to face up to three to five years of jail time.

Zachery Ty Bryan — Zachery’s Previous Jail Time

Last year, the star of “Home Improvement” Zachery spent time in an Oregon jail for alleged domestic violence. That was the second time the 42-year-old actor was charged with domestic violence after his 2020 arrest.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” the police got a call on Friday, July 28, around 6 pm over a physical dispute between a male and a female in Eugene resident.—Per THR. While the male was identified as Zachery, the female’s identity was yet to be known.

TMZ reported that at the arrival of the police at the scene, Bryan was nowhere in sight but he was tracked down and taken to jail. Bryan was in Lane County Jail up until Monday, July 31, afternoon when he was charged with assault in the fourth degree.

Zachery Ty Bryan — Bryan’s Past Experience With Domestic Violence Charge

Back in October 2020, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actor was arrested and charged with felony strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion, menacing, harassment, and interference with making a police report.

Bryan later pled guilty to two of the lesser charges, misdemeanor menacing and misdemeanor assault, and was sentenced to three years of probation.

His victim was his then-girlfriend Johnnie Faye Cartwright. In a recent interview with “The Hollywood Reporter,” Bryan claimed that the incident was “Blown out of proportion” by the media.

He further alleged, “We didn’t even really get that physical. We got really loud. We were screaming and because we were in a townhome that had [thin walls], everybody could hear,” he also said that his then-girlfriend “Johnnie was, at the time, just really upset about my situation.”

“At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something. I could’ve fought it… but that’s more stress and drama. I got two misdemeanors and called it a day,” added Bryan.

Meanwhile, the police told “E! News” at the time that Bryan, “Assaulted the victim, impeded her breathing, and [took] the victim’s phone from her when she tried to call 911,” but Bryan claimed that Cartwright was out to “ruin his career.”

He went on to claim that he heard Cartwright telling the police, “I heard her tell dispatch, ‘This is the guy from ‘Home Improvement.’ He’s this famous guy.'”

Bryan and Cartwright are still together, they’re currently engaged and share three children together.
