Howard Stern Trashes Johnny Depp And Calls Him A “Narcissist” For Suing Amber Heard

Howard Stern recently shared his take on Johnny Depp suing Amber Heard for $50 million. The 68-year-old comedian accused him of trying to get people’s affections with his narcissistic charms. At the end of the day, Stern warned that the court case isn’t going to end well for anybody.

Let’s just say that Howard Stern is not a fan of Johnny Depp dragging his ex-wife Amber Heard to court and insisting that the whole court case be streamed live for the public to enjoy.

On Monday’s installment of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern show, Stern called Depp a “narcissist”, whose ego drove him to file the defamation lawsuit and then insist that it should be made public in order to influence people’s opinions. He said that Depp wanted the court case live-streamed because, as a narcissist, he thinks he can talk his “way out of everything”.

“The Pirates of the Carribbean” star, 58, is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she penned for The Washington Post about surviving domestic violence. Depp claims that even though he wasn’t mentioned by name in the article, everyone pointed a finger at him.

Later on, Heard testified in a court case Depp brought against the Sun for labelling him a “wife beater”. Depp lost the case.

“On the narcissism scale, I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist — and what I mean by that is, he figured ‘I’ll put this on TV. And because I’m so persuasive and I’m so smart, and I’m such a wonderful guy,’ ” Stern said, according to The Wrap.

Stern said that he really believed that Depp, who has massive fans supporting him, was “overacting” and “writing his own material as he goes along.”

Stern is convinced that neither Depp nor Heard is winning the case. “But that’s what narcissists do: ‘I will charm the pants off of America at the trial.’ No you won’t. This will not go well. It’s not going well for you, it’s not going well for her. It’s not going well for anybody. You sound like two battling children. It’s just coming off really badly.”

Heard and Depp wed in 2015. They broke up in May 2016, when Heard sought a restraining order against him for allegedly abusing her both physically, emotionally, verbally and sexually.

Depp denied the claims and in August 2016, the pair settled out of court.
