Hugh Jackman Agrees With Martha Stewart’s Cruel Ryan Reynolds’ Dig

Hugh Jackman Agrees With Martha Stewart's Cruel Ryan Reynolds' DigAll’s fair in love and war, eh? Or the comedy game? How do you say that in the comedy world? Anyway, most of us by now know that if we wanted a candid assertion from someone of someone, the one person to turn to is Martha Stewart.

The model, actress, lifestyle guru and businesswoman is not afraid to dish it out whenever she feels the need to. And this time, you could say she’s got a partner in crime.

Hugh Jackman – Sides With Martha Stewart: “Finally Someone Says It”

Think comedy in movies, who does your mind drift to? If you’re not thinking of dear old Rowan Atkinson – Mr. Bean for the uninitiated – then one of the other people you’re thinking of likely includes Ryan Reynolds. The guy can deliver a good punchline, can’t he? ‘Green Lantern,’ ‘Red Notice,’ ‘Deadpool,’ and so on and so forth.

But if we’re to trust Martha Stewart’s judgement, it would seem that this comedic flare ends onscreen and actually does not follow him to the real world.

During her appearance as a special guest on Bilt Rewards’ November Rent Free game show, Stewart, 83, shocked fans when she called out Reynolds, 48, for not being “so funny in real life.”

Reynolds, always chippy with his comebacks, reacted almost immediately, writing on X, “I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”

However, after receiving all that ribbing from co-star Reynolds in the past, no one could blame Hugh Jackman for wading in on the convo. “Finally someone says it,” Jackman, 56, said.

The pair has been locked in a playful beef for a while, with things reaching a crescendo when ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was nearing the time of its release.

Hugh Jackman – Opens Up About How His Ongoing Playful Feud With Ryan Reynolds Began

In case you’re thinking ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ kickstarted the whole thing, it didn’t. These two have been breathing down each other’s necks for years.

In a 2020 interview with The Daily Beast, Jackman explained that the banter started when Reynolds was still wed to star Scarlett Johansson – he’s now married with four children with Blake Lively.

“I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I’m watching,’ and we started ribbing each other that way,” Jackman said.

“And then it all escalated with the Deadpool thing and him calling me out, and trying to manipulate me through social media to do what he wanted,” he added.
