Guess who’s getting a ‘biographical-ish’ sitcom movie to give fans an inside look into his younger years, Dwayne Johnson, that’s who. Young Rock, a series created by Nahnatchka Khan and directed by Jeff Chiang, is based on the life of professional wrestler and actor Dwayne Johnson, the man that can toss a hundred-pound man like he weighs as much as a pencil. The title Young Rock was taken from his ring name “The Rock”.
Is Young Rock A Revelation Of Dwayne’s Vision To Run For Presidency?
According to the series, Dwayne Johnson is running for presidency in the year 2032, conveniently 11 years from now. An interview with Randall Park, now a journalist, takes Dwayne back to his childhood days as he discusses his life through the years and how he is just like any other American. Yeah right, but let’s just go along with the story.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is easily recognized as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, he wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation, later rebranded as World Wrestling Entertainment. His father was also a professional wrestler, which is a part that was included in the movie as he followed his father to wrestling matches.
Since the release of the first three episodes, people have been wondering if they’d be getting the tall, dark and handsome former professional wrestler as the Commander-in-chief. It wouldn’t be the first time for someone from reality television or acting to get politically inclined. I mean, Arnold Schwarzenegger did become the governor of California while flaunting Terminator-level muscles. And well, we all know about Donald Trump.
“I’m seriously considering running for president,” the Rock acknowledges
After playing himself as a presidential candidate in a comedy series based on his life, people are eager to know what he thinks about being president. In 2017, Dwayne Johnson told the USA TODAY that he is considering running for president, also acknowledging that the idea to run did not come from him, but rather from a piece featured in The Washington Post. It also didn’t hurt that the report made it clear that if Dwayne ran for president, there was every chance that he would win. People’s excitement about the concept made Dwayne consider the possibility.
He went on to state that he still didn’t know all the variables involved in politics, as it was not his business but that he would continue to learn and observe. “So I can tell you with all honesty that the consideration comes at the desire from a large amount of people who would like to see this happen,” he said, also adding that his mission is simple, “To serve the people, and create a better environment for them.”

He declined to reveal whether he is going with Democratic or Republic if and when he runs. “You’re pushing it – right now, I’m an independent.”
He also jokingly picked out Tom Hanks as a partner when he runs and wins the presidential race, saying that Hanks could be whatever he chose to be when he won. There was no one else that he could think to bring along on his political ride, except maybe Kevin Hart, his Central Intelligence and Jumanji co-star.
He also said that Kevin Hart would be given the role of court jester, as he would be bringing it back when he becomes president, probably the first thing he’s planning on bringing back then.
