Is Lil Nas X Really Gay?

Lil Nas X is not here for anyone’s criticism. The rapper recently responded to a critic who suggested that he might not really be gay. Here’s what you need to know.

Lil Nas X – Responds To A Critic Who Says He’s Not Really Gay

When one critic posted on Twitter, “I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine, it’s so forced,” he responded with, “Oh no guys, it’s the estrogen expert.”

Needless to say, many of Lil Nas’ critics and fans alike sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “If people think he is too masculine they need to get out more. He’s good the way he is.

The bored people just like to complain about literally anything at all,” along with, “Heard some tea he got a woman pregnant so maybe… he’s bi? Either way it doesn’t really matter as sexuality is a spectrum folks.”

Another person wrote, “I don’t listen to his music but as a gay man of color, I have mad respect for him. It can be still a difficult life to be white and gay in this society, people have no fucking idea what it is like to black and/or Latino and be openly proud about your sexuality!”

Back in 2021, the rapper told NPR in an interview that he’s often felt like he’s been put into a box during his career. He said, “Yeah and I feel like it’s going to happen over and over and over again. We unintentionally say people are exactly our first thoughts of them – whatever I’m saying right now I may not agree with in a year, you know? Or things I’m doing right now, I may say ‘Ah, I should’ve done that differently.’ We change as people, over and over and over again.”

He also added, “When people would say ‘Oh my God I love you, you’re not like the other gay people.’ I thought that was like, a compliment. But in reality those people are just against feminine men, and the only reason they hate that is because they’ve been taught over time ‘This is now how this specific person or thing is supposed to be.’”
