Jada Pinkett-Smith continued to be proud of her family amidst facing difficult issues following the Oscars squabble involving her husband, Will Smith.
During the 94th annual Academy Awards, Chris Rock was one of the presenters and he happened to make a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head that was due to extreme hair loss or alopecia. However, the “Girls Trip” star wasn’t delighted by the statement, which led Will Smith to climb up on stage and slap the Saturday Night Live (SNL) alum in front of the crowd.
A day after the incident, the “King Richard” actor posted an apology statement on his social media account for showing “unacceptable and inexcusable” behavior at the Oscars. He publicly apologized to Chris Rock, the Williams family, his “King Richards” family, and the people behind the Academy for his wrong and “out of line” action. However, despite the public apology statement, the altercation resulted in Will Smith being banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years.
Jada Pinkett-Smith Is A Proud Mom
After a week of social media hiatus, Jada posted on her Instagram story a photo of her daughter, Willow Smith, alongside Camila Cabello posing together backstage of Saturday Night Live (SNL). She captioned: “Who got to see these two talented beauties @willowsmith x @camila_cabello on SNL last night? #psychofreak”
Willow and Camila brought the house down when they performed their latest song “Psychofreak” during an SNL episode hosted by Jake Gyllenhaal. The “Whip My Hair” singer rocked a matching red outfit while Cabello wore a structured black latex ensemble. This was also the first time Willow made a public appearance since the Academy commotion involving her dad, Will Smith.

As Willow showcased her new music on the SNL stage, Jada wore a gold gown on the red carpet when she recently supported the creator Shonda Rhimes at the grand opening of the Rhimes Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, which will be the home for Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
The “Red Table Talk” host brought her outfit on Instagram with the caption, “@therealdebbieallen said to wrap it all in gold and come let the kids fill your soul.” She also congratulated her friend, Debbie Allen, on the opening of the Dance Academy. She ended her statement with, “You are the legacy that so many other legacies will stand upon. Thank you for all that you do.”
