James Tupper Accuses Anne Heche’s Son Homer Of Being ‘Hostile’ To Half Brother

Last week, Anne Heche’s oldest son Homer Laffoon filed a lawsuit asking the court to award him more authority for him to have more access to her assets and properties. This request comes after the court granted Homer’s request to be the special administrator of Anne’s estate. Homer also requested a bond of $800K, and access to his late mom’s financial records.

Anne Heche died on August 12 at the age of 53 in a ghastly car accident that happened on August 5. Since her demise, her eldest son Homer, 20, who she shares with her ex-husband Coleman Laffoon, and James Tupper, Anne’s ex-boyfriend have been going back and forth in several legal battles.

First, Homer and James battled for who will have custody of Atlas, 13, Homer’s half-brother and Jame’s son who he shares with Anne. After James lost the custody battle, he began fighting every legal move Homer makes to have access to his mom’s properties.

James Tupper — On Homer Being Hostile To Atlas

In the new legal documents obtained on Monday by PEOPLE, James is strongly opposing the lawsuits Homer filed. James objected to Homer’s request for the court to increase his authority, stating that Homer haven’t kept to any promise he made to Atlas.

One of the many failed promises is that Homer is yet to present Atlas with the list of inventories and pictures of personal assets which Homer claimed are still in Anne’s house.

James also alleged that since the probate proceedings started Homer has been “hostile” towards Atlas. He also said that Homer hasn’t spoken to his little brother nor him or his rep for a long time. James also alleged that Atlas “has no confidence in Laffoon’s ability to meet his fiduciary obligations to Atlas.”

James Tupper — What James Said About Homer’s Lawsuit

The court document gotten reads: On behalf of Atlas, [Tupper] requests that prior to granting [Homer] any powers to take possession of the tangible personal property in the apartment, the Court compels [Homer] to provide an inventory of such personal property to Atlas so it can be determined whether [Homer] actually safeguards all of the Decedent’s personal property in the future and conflict can be minimized.”

James has always made sure he tells the court that Homer is incompetent and undeserving of the authority given to him by the court. In the opposing lawsuit James filed, he argued that the court giving Homer more authority is clearly not necessary since his special administration title has covered everything. He said that Homer’s request boils down to his incompetence “and inability to preserve estate assets.”

James also said that the $800K bond Homer requested should be made to $2 million because “no evidence of such information has been provided to the court, James or Atlas as to what justifies.”
