Jason Momoa Sheds Light On The Rumors That He’s Currently Homeless

The star of “Aquaman” Jason Momoa recently had an interview with Entertainment Tonight which had him discuss where he takes shelter whenever he’s done filming onset. After the interview, rumors began flying that the actor is currently homeless.

The conclusion that Jason is homeless came after the “SEE” actor told the outlet how he’ll be going to New Zealand to film the film adaptation of “Minecraft,” and how he plans to make the country his home for the duration of the shooting. Explaining what he meant by that, he said, “Bro, I don’t even have a home right now, I live on the road.”

He went on to say, “I love the idea of just being with everyday people and doing my craft, which is filming, and then showing them,” he continued. “And so, I think through doing that for so long, I got to be curious about it.”

After the interview, people took it that the 44-year-old is literally homeless. Seeing how the public misunderstood his statement, he granted an interview with PEOPLE to address the issue.

Speaking with People in an exclusive interview, the “Dune” actor threw more light on his misconstrued statement, saying, “I’m just houseless. I’m not homeless, I have a nice trailer.” Before going on to say, “Everyone’s like, ‘Jason Momoa’s homeless.’ I’m like, ‘Relax. I got a f—— sleeping bag.’”

He went on to make a not-so-shocking revelation, “I’ve never bought a house yet, so I’m excited to one day.” Afterward, he allowed his mind to wander to the day his dream of buying a house comes true. Thinking out loud, he said if people found out he finally bought a house, their reactions would be, “Like ‘Jason Momoa bought a home. Holy s—. He’s got a pillow now.’”

Jason Momoa rose to fame after he starred in the award-winning series, “Game of Thrones.” However, the actor once shared during a 2020 interview with “Instyle” how he went broke after his appearance on “Game of Thrones.” He revealed that things were so bad that his family could barely eat.

“I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones,” said Jason. He continued, “I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.” His life turned for the better after he was cast as Aquaman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” a few years later.
