Jeremy Renner’s Nephew Recalls The Actor Being In Pretty Bad Shape

New material is emerging about the disastrous Jeremy Renner accident that occurred on Jan. 1, when the “Hawkeye” actor attempted to dig out his Nephew’s vehicle with a snowplow.

When the snowplow ran Renner over, his nephew recalled being scared that he might have been crushed to death. However, the star was airlifted to an hospital and received the emergency treatment he so desperately needed.

Battered, bruised, and with several broken bones from the accident, Renner insists throwing himself at the mercy of the snowplow to save his nephew was the only right decision to make. Turns out Jeremy Renner isn’t just a hero onscreen. Where can I sign up to be his relation?

Speaking to Diana Sawyer about the “Avengers: Endgame” actor’s accident, Renner’s nephew remembered perfectly seeing the 52-year-old covered “in a pool of blood coming from his head.”

“And I ran up to him … you know, I didn’t think he was alive,” he added, getting visibly emotional as he remembered the terrible accident.

Renner, on the other hand, remembered thinking even amidst the pain that he wouldn’t let this accident kill him, telling Sawyer, “You’re not gonna kill me. No way,” and saying that he “chose to survive” the tragedy.

Even though he broke more than 30 bones in his body and required surgery to put him back together, Renner insisted that if the incident were ever to occur again, he would still throw himself at it again to protect his nephew.

“You’d do it again?” she asked, amazed, to which he responded, “Yeah, I’d do it again. ‘Cause [the snowplow] was going right at my nephew.”

The snowplow that crushed him was said to weigh over 14,330 pounds. It left him with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and received surgery the very next day.
