Jessica Alba Has Reportedly Separated From Husband of 16 Years, Cash Warren

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are reportedly going their separate ways after 16 years of marriage. I guess a new year really puts into perspective what we want and don’t want, and the former Hollywood “it” couple look like they’re not very sure which of the boxes currently fit their long-term marriage.

Fun fact: the actress and director tied the knot on May 19, 2008, after meeting on the set of ‘Fantastic Four.’ They share three children – two daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and a son, Hayes, 7 – together. They celebrated Hayes’ 7th birthday this January shortly before the news of their separation broke.

According to media outlets, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are currently separated and nearing a divorce.

This is coming after Alba shared a New Year’s eve message, declaring that her 2024 was filled with “joy and so much love.”

Alba has pretty much been open about her marriage in the past and the work she and her husband have to put in to keep their marital relationship a healthy one.

In September 2021, whilst talking about building her business empire and parenting, she also touched on how she and her husband prioritize their relationship, even perhaps above their own individual needs.

“At different times, there were different things that we needed. Around the time I had the kids, it was like, ‘I need (date night) once a week.’ And he’s been like, ‘I need you to be present on the weekends and not work,’ ” she said, explaining they’d often “over-communicate what’s happening before it gets to the point of no return.”

She further revealed at the time, “I don’t think we have a secret at all. We just have to check each other.”

Jessica Alba Names “Communication” As the One Thing That Keeps Her Marriage Working
We know that no relationship can meaningfully endure without a good solid communication, but I suspect this rings even more true for Jessica Alba.

Speaking on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s Instagram series, Before, During and After Baby, in July 2021, she confessed that marriage with Cash is sometimes “hard and impossible.”

She continued: “We’re just not consistent. But being able to communicate when you’re unhappy and nipping it right away instead of letting it sort of fester, and then you have animosity and then it explodes — which we’ve gone through that one! We have, obviously, the friendship, the comfort of ‘You’re not going anywhere,’ so sometimes you don’t treat those people the best. You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings. That is something I think is a constant one to work on.”

At the time, Alba shared that the best way to make a “life journey” work is to decide every day that you want to make it work.
