Known as a fashion designer, singer, and actress, Jessica Simpson has developed a loyal fan following. And many follow Jessica on Instagram. However, those who viewed a video that Simpson just posted to her social media platform responded in ways she probably never anticipated. And as Page Six noted, the concern from Jessica’s followers seemed genuine.

The worry about Jessica’s health began when fans viewed her new Pottery Barn ad. Simpson shared the ad in a video on her Instagram. And the 42-year-old singer seemed to slur her words as she spoke.

“Hi, I’m Jessica Simpson, and welcome to my daughter Birdie’s room,” said the actress as she seemed to speak in a different way in the ad. And Simpson seemed to experience speech problems as she shared that her daughter’s room reflected some of her own personality. But she did follow the script as she promoted the design “by Pottery Barn Kids.”

However, fans focused on the way that Jessica spoke rather than her promotion for Pottery Barns. And she kept slurring her words as she added, “I was really drawn to the geometric prints and the color scheme. This really, to me, is Birdie’s personality. Thank you everyone for checking out the adorable room of Birdie Mae Johnson.”

Because of how she slurred her words, some of Simpson’s fans also wondered if something happened to her mouth. And one wrote, “Something is wrong here.” Others agreed. For instance, one noted, “Wtf happened to her face. She can barely speak. Shame.”

But some fans felt that Jessica’s speech issues seemed to reflect a general trend. For instance, one asked, “Why does she talk like that now? It’s just strange.” And the fan noted that “every video of her talking” seems to show Jessica “trying really hard to get the words right.”

Because of the changes, most fans expressed similar concerns that Simpson suffers from an undisclosed health issue. For instance, one begged, “Please tell me I’m not the only one that hears her voice being totally slow…is she ok?!?!” And a few questioned whether Jessica might have an eating disorder. For example, one shared that Jessica “looks frail.”

However, others defended Simpson. And one follower called it “sad that all these comments are about her appearance. It’s none of anyone’s business. I wish people were kinder. If she does have an eating disorder it’s not her fault.” And a fan pointed out that Jessica “has always been a small woman. So cut her some slack. Let her live! ❤️.”
