But an insider told Us magazine that Bieber took pride in his wife. And after listening to Hailey discuss his past with Selena, Justin values the model’s honesty. “[Justin’s] proud of Hailey for being herself,” shared the insider. “And [he] thought the whole interview was super cool.”

However, the 25-year model has discovered that not all listeners agreed about the cool factor of her interview. And Hailey still faces negative remarks after her comments about Selena, 30. But Justin’s wife doesn’t regret what she shared in the podcast.

Because some of Selena’s fans slammed Hailey, the model now must try to ignore “any negativity that still comes her way,” noted the source. However, Hailey believes that she made the right decision to discuss her husband’s past with Selena. “Hailey felt she needed to address that elephant in the room and clear the air with regards to how she and Justin got together,” explained the insider.

“The only people that really know the truth about the situation, the timeline of how it happened or how it went down, are me and him.”

But for those who want to hear more, Hailey feels it’s time to move on. And she does not want to respond to anymore questions about her remarks. The model has “moved on and doesn’t want to address it,” emphasized the insider. “She means no harm to Selena herself.”

However, Hailey saw value in discussing exactly what happened with regard to Justin’s history with Selena. And because she experienced so many of Gomez’s fans accusing her of stealing Bieber, the model felt she needed to set the record straight. As a result, she feels happy about her interview.

“Being honest and true to her own core values is what Hailey is all about,” added the insider. “And she’s very happy in herself right now. In short, she won’t let the haters win.”

But Selena doesn’t intend to let the haters win either. And during a TikTok live stream after Hailey’s podcast, Gomez discussed her views. And the songstress asserted that no one should slam Hailey for her remarks. “No one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” stated Selena. And she asked for “kind words” only. “Because that’s exactly what I want. That’s it,” summed up Gomez.
