Justin Bieber Justin Bieber is no stranger to the lights and the noise and the feel of jumping up and down the stage when one is sufficiently pumped up with great music and the roar from hundreds of screaming and adoring fans. Justin Bieber Addresses The Pressures Of Performing Before Millions Of Fans

In a clip from the upcoming documentary “Justin Bieber: Our World”, shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the 27-year-old “Lonely” singer talked about his feelings leading up to the 2020 New Year’s Eve concert.

“I definitely felt the nerves leading up to it,” Bieber candidly opened up to Jason Kennedy. “I think sometimes nerves are coming from a good place, because you care.”

The show saw Bieber perform live at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where a small crowd of invited guests and millions from all over the world tuned in to watch the livestream. The preparation that went into the making of the show is documented in “Justin Bieber: Our World”, which is set for release on October 8 on Amazon Prime Video.

“There’s a lot of moments that I messed up. But I think being okay with your little mistakes… I mean, nothing’s going to be perfect,” Bieber said in the clip. “So next time, you just take those mistakes and you do it better. That’s life. You want to get better at something, you gotta be willing to make mistakes. I heard this saying like, ‘You miss all the shots you don’t take.’ So you take the shot. If you miss, you miss, but at least you tried.”

A clip shared from the documentary also showed Justin Bieber telling his wife Hailey Bieber, 24, about his nerves, which he described as “a little bit of butterflies in my stomach.”

“If you’re nervous, then I’m nervous with you,” she assured him.

The singer and performer said that it was “difficult” putting together the show during a global pandemic and shared the extra precautions he and his team put in place to keep everybody safe.

“All of the checks and balances that went along with putting together this show, from the COVID tests, to some people actually getting COVID during the process and having to wait in quarantine for 15 days or however long it took for it to pass,” Bieber said. “There was just hurdles, and it’s already hard enough to put on a show at this level. But to do it during a pandemic with all of the other… [it’s] the whole kit and caboodle.”

The 90-minute documentary, directed by Michael D. Ratner, is coming after “Justin Bieber: Seasons” dropped in 2020. The documentary showcased Bieber’s struggle with fame, drug use, and his Lyme disease diagnosis.

Bieber recently appeared at the 2021 MTV Video Music awards, where he performed “Stay” with The Kid LAROI and “Ghost” off his 2021 album “Justice”.
