Kanye West STUNS With ‘Wife’ Kim Kardashian Comment At BET Awards 2022!

Kanye West surprised everyone when the rapper appeared at the BET Awards 2022. But even more, Kim Kardashian’s estranged hubby stunned onlookers by referring to her as his wife. And West didn’t stop there in terms of dropping bombshells.

Award show attendees have missed Kanye West and his fondness for dropping bombshells. As a result, the crowd cheered when the rapper finished his hiatus from such events for a dramatic return at the BET Awards 2022. But some didn’t even recognize West at first, noted Us magazine.

Kanye, 45, surprised the audience as he stepped on the Microsoft Theater stage in Los Angeles, California. Hidden behind sunglasses, a dark face mask, and a baseball cap, West made his appearance to celebrate his friend Diddy. But before the rapper gave his buddy the Lifetime Achievement Award, Kanye made his feelings known.

And Ye began by posing questions to the audience. “How do we crown our kings?” he asked. But then he added, “[And] how do we appreciate our kings? To think how far we could just make if off of inspiration, to hear the way somebody chopped a sample in. Me and [friends] rushin’ to see who could get the Bad Boy mixtape and play back the original version of ‘Benjamins,’ over and over, thinkin’ I was one of the Hit Men.”

But while Kanye began on a serious note, he wove in humor. “I was signed to Puff without him knowing,” joked West. And he added, “That statement is not legally binding!” However, Ye also praised Diddy as his “favorite artist.” And he explained, “You see, I’m saying favorite artist — everything, not specifically production, the trip.”

Looking back, West reflected on all the rules that existed for music. And he praised Diddy for breaking all the guidelines. “Back then there was so many rules to hip-hop,” pointed out Ye. “And he broke all of them. [He] understood contracts in a way a lot of us still don’t. Understood money in a way a lot of us still don’t. I go to him for advice to this day.”

But then came the bombshell. And West stunned as he referred to Kim Kardashian. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” (KUWTK) star and the Grammy winner enjoyed their marriage for more than six years. But since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, the two have become estranged. However, Ye managed to joke about Kardashian in his speech.

Discussing Diddy, West shared, “He inspired so many of my choices. So many of my life choices. My wife choices,” teased Kanye in his reference to Kim. “And here we are. Thanks for that, Puff,” added West sarcastically.
