Kanye West Has Been Dropped By Adidas Over His ‘Dangerous’ Antisemitic Rants

Following the long list of antisemitic comments Kanye “Ye” West has been dropping since the beginning of the month, companies such as Balenciaga, Vogue, and CAA that are in partnership with him have proceeded to cut ties with the rapper. Just very recently, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, Adidas joined the list of companies that dropped their partnership with Kanye.

The statement released by Adidas company on Tuesday reads: “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

“After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. adidas will stop the adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.” The statement concluded with, “This is expected to have a short-term negative impact of up to €250 million on the company’s net income in 2022 given the high seasonality of the fourth quarter.”

To be honest, Kanye had this coming a long time. Right before Kanye began making antisemitic comments that are dangerous to both the Jews and blacks, before Kanye’s White Lives Matter brouhaha, Kanye was throwing disses at Adidas and Gap without caring what would happen to his partnership with them.

At the beginning of last month, the “Donda” rapper took to his social media account to make a fake news headline that says the Adidas CEO is dead, “Kasper Rørsted also dead at 60.” This fake breaking news by Kanye was posted on Sept. 1.

The racist comments made by Kanye both on air and on social media are too numerous to mention. It is so bad that one of those posts earned him a restriction on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The post that earned him a Twitter ban reads: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE [sic] The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic [sic] because black people are actually Jew also [sic] You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

According to Los Angeles Times, Kanye’s antisemitic comments created antisemitic activities. One example took place at 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. According to reports, a hate group gathered at Goyim Defense League with a banner that read, “Kanye is right about the Jews.”

Due to the harm that Kanye’s racist comments are causing, StandWithUs which is an international non-partisan education organization that supports Israel and fights antisemitism urged brands that are in collaboration with the rapper to do away with him because Kanye is bringing down the image of their businesses with his actions.

Kanye West — Kanye Is Unapologetic About His Comments

Speaking with controversial British television host Piers Morgan, Kanye West vehemently refused to apologize for his comments and he doesn’t care about the harm his comments are causing.

Kanye confirmed to Piers that he knows very well his comments are racist that’s why he made them. To be certain he understood what Kanye said, Piers asked, “So you said it knowing it’s racist?” and Kanye responded with “Yes. I fought fire with fire, I’m not here to get hosed down. That’s a different type of freedom fighter.”

A lot of celebrities are 100% against Kanye including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. On Oct. 24 Kim took to her Instagram story to share that she’s against hate speech, and also express her support to the Jews. Her post read: “Hate speech is never OK or excusable, I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.”
