Kanye West Pulls Out From Performing At Coachella Music Festival 2022

The Donda rapper Kanye West has pulled the plug on his performance at the upcoming Coachella Music Festival.

Kanye was scheduled to perform at the Festival which would be taking place in Indio California for two weeks on April 14 and April 24 respectively but, for unknown reasons, he won’t be performing anymore.

Despite being barred from performing at the Grammys, the True Love singer made history at the Grammys by winning two awards for Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, totaling his Grammy Awards to 24 and becoming the second rapper after Jay-z, in the history of the Grammy to win 24 Grammys.

Due to Kanye’s cancellation, Coachella is left with a hole in the headliner performers list. Still set to perform at the Festival are Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia.

Although Kanye’s unexpected pull out from the Festival has left a huge hole for a headliner performer’s space, Coachella Organizers say they bear no grudge against Kanye, they explained that they understand Kanye needs time for himself and they want him to be better. They said if it means them having to miss the big gig, so be it.

This past month of March has been a lot for Kanye, with his frequent attacks on his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, his ex-wife’s boyfriend Pete Davidson, and even Trevor Noah. Kanye was even suspended from Instagram for 24hours for violation of its policies on hate speech, harassment, and bullying.

Could Kanye West’s Cancellation On Coachella Be Because He Has Gone To Get Help?

Kanye recently told his Ex-wife Kim Kardashian that “He’s going away to get help” on April 1, due to his recent viral harassments of Kim and her boyfriend Pete Davidson, and agreed to stop harassing Kim and cyberbullying Pete Davidson.

Kanye told Kim that he would be going somewhere undisclosed to get better and won’t be making any public appearances or social media posts for the time being. Kanye was absent on April 3 at the Grammy where he made history by being the second rapper to win 24 Grammys.
