Kourtney Kardashian On What It’s Like Supporting Someone Suffering From “Life-Threatening” Pancreatitis

When Travis Barker was hospitalized recently, his new wife never left his side. She was always there offering support and love as he recovered.

He’s “currently much better” and Kourtney, his family, friends and fans are over the moon with excitement. Here’s the newly-wedded couple’s story on the “severe life-threatening” hospitalization.

Travis Barker – Updates His Fans After Being Rushed to the Hospital When He Developed “Excrutiating Pain”

This Saturday, the 46-year-old updated his 7.5 million fans on Instagram regarding his health status after he was taken to the hospital when he started feeling extreme pain.

“I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great,” he recounted on his Instagram Story. “But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.

“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.
“I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment, I am currently much better,” Barker added.

Barker’s wife Kourtney Kardashian also thanked fans for their support and good wishes as the family went through the trying times.

“Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change,” Kardashian wrote on her Instagram Story. “Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”

The reality T.V. star said that she’s “so grateful to God for healing my husband”, adding that she’s happy to have had their fans’ prayers. She further thanked the specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles “for taking such wonderful care” of them.

In a follow-up Instagram Story, Kardashian wrote: “It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.”

In a photo obtained by TMZ, Kourtney was seen accompanying Barker last Tuesday as he was rolled into Cedars-Sinai on a stretcher.
